My name is Shaun Eilders and I have been licensed as a Professional Counselor for 25 years. I have an extensive history of working with children and adolescents, working with parents, children, and the entire family to help families resolve issues and heal. I have experience in working with adult mental health issues including anxiety, depression, trauma exposure, PTSD, and substance abuse. I also have experience working with couples to aid them in resolving issues and strengthening their relationships.
I typically employ Cognitive/Behavioral and/or a Solution Focused approach to therapy. I let the client’s needs and where they are in their own journey of healing and discovery guide how approach therapy. I believe it is paramount to meet clients where they are when they make the choice to enter therapy. I try to be pragmatic and efficient in helping my clients identify the issues that they want to address in therapy and help equip them with the tools needed to help them along their therapeutic journey.
I understand that the therapeutic journey can feel overwhelming and intimidating, especially for first time therapy participants and with that in mind I am non-judgmental, and I have the experience needed to create an environment where people are comfortable and feel safe and secure. This allows clients to be able to do the work of self-examination, exploration and ultimately healing. I look forward to being able to bring my many years of therapeutic experience to aid individuals, couples and families achieve therapeutic results that will improve their lives and lead them to a healthier and happier future.
